Sunslider, Day One
On the morning of July 24, Sunslider went live.
And on the afternoon of July 24, Sunslider's first important update was sent off to Apple, mainly because the automated content moderation was dialed in waaaaaaaaay too conservatively (i.e., a picture of an adult - which means anyone on the platform, we're only open to users 16+! - was being classified and blocked because it was... "adult" đ„). As Edith Piaf so famously sang, "C'est la vie des startups..." đ«Ł
That update has been approved and is available on the App Store, meaning you can now do normal stuff, like put a selfie in your profile to show people who you are! One small step for man, one giant leap for Sunslider, etc.

The first day also yielded some other good updates based on your feedback:
- editing capabilities were improved, making them less extensive but more reliable; still, it's not quite there and that's going to be a focal point over the coming weeks. If you have any strong opinions on what kind of editing capabilities are must-haves, let me know!
- the sign up process is being adjusted to give it better visuals, a more user-friendly password setup, and generally a more fluid experience;
- better visibility of "follower" lists to help with discovery is in progress (should be released next week).
In startups, the old cliché of "It's always Day One" isn't actually true, that's just some Bezos bullshit. But it is true that there can be lots of "Day Ones".
The real Day One for a founder is the moment you put your real product into real people's hands. And the real Day One for a user is the day they sign up and start to see what a product can do - and where it needs to improve.
So long live Day Two! And please remember that your opinion and your experience will always be at the top of our priority list, because that's how we can make your Day Two, Day Three, and all the others better.

It won't be used just to send blogs or some "weekly newsletter" kind of deal; you can always follow that kind of thing at our website.
